Brownies
1 1/4 cups finely crushed graham crackers (about 18 crackers)
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup finely chopped dry roasted peanuts
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup butter
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, cut up
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped peanuts
Peanut Butter Frosting
Garnish with honey roasted peanuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Ungreased 11x7x1 1/2-inch baking pan.
Crust Directions
In medium bowl, combine crushed graham crackers, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup finely chopped peanuts. Stir in 1/2 cup melted butter. Press mixture evenly into bottom of baking pan.
Bake 5 minutes. Cool.
Filling Directions
In large heavy saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat; stir in 1 cup sugar,eggs, and vanilla just until combined. Stir in flour and 1/2 cup chopped peanuts. Spread evenly over crust.
Bake for 20 minutes. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Spread with Peanut Butter Frosting.
Cut into 1-inch squares. Place a few honey roasted peanuts on each square.
Peanut Butter Frosting Directions
In mixing bowl, beat 1/4 cup butter and 2 tablespoons peanut butter with electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Gradually add 1 cup sifted powdered sugar, beating well. Beat in 1 tablespoon milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
Gradually beat in 1 cup sifted powdered sugar and enough milk to make frosting of spreading consistency.
Makes about 50-70 bite-size brownies.
