Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

These tasty oatmeal cookies include a choclate morsel surprise.
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup old fashioned oats
4 tablespoons margarine
2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/3 cup reduced fat sour cream
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in oats.
In a large bowl, cream together margarine, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
Blend with electric mixer on high speed until mixture appears light yellow and creamy.
With a wooden spoon, blend in sour cream. Add flour mixture all at once and mix just until blended. DO NOT OVERMIX. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop cookie dough by the heaping teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet; make sure to keep dough at least 2-inches apart.
Bake 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool cookies on baking sheet for
2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks. Cool completely.
Store in airtight container. Cookies keep for up to 2 weeks.
